Awkward is an Awkward Word

In News by Carla

I was reflecting on awkwardness today. You all know about awkwardness and I dare to say that EVERYONE has MULTIPLE awkward situations DAILY. I know I do. You say something you didn’t mean to say or spill grape juice down the front of your white shirt at the company meeting.
Right now I am in a situation where I am in close proximity with many people and I am realizing the choice I have.
We are BOMBARDED by choices each day. So, which choice am I referring to right?
Well, you can remain removed and safe—not engaging TOO much with your heart. Or? You can dare to know others and be known.
You can choose to love.
Choosing love in every activity. If you stopped and made a decision based on being governed by love, Jesus’ sort of love, how would that transform your life?
Awkwardness, if you are not careful, can become a wall. Out of fear we can step back, or use words to isolate. With courage, I believe we can find the door which leads to a closer and stronger friendships. Relationships.
Why do I share that? I feel inspired. I want to be more bold in the way I am known and know others. The way that I love and especially being in Northern India with an international team united to create media resources for Unreached People Groups.
