God’s Plan for YOUR Life is Unfolding Before You

In News by Carla

This morning I am drinking coffee from a special mug– made by the man that was my first pottery teacher so many years ago in college. The color is a rich muted orange and a playful rhinoceros head defines the front. I’ve already been out in the chilly 37 degree Fahrenheit weather (or 2.7 Celsius) with my dad hauling garbage to the dump.

I am rediscovering books I had packed away last year in a hope chest my dad made me for Christmas. When you live out of a backpack you have to be selective about which books you bring with you! So I joyfully rediscovered Sarah Young’s Jesus Calling.

This is a daily devotional with devotions for every day of the year. Sarah writes using a handful of scriptures and addresses the devotion into a letter directly to you. This was for December 21 and really ministered to my heart this morning. I wanted to share it with you:

My plan for your life is unfolding before you. Sometimes the road you are traveling seems blocked, or it opens up so painfully slowly that you must hold yourself back. Then, when the time is right, the way before you suddenly clears—through no effort of your own. What you have longed for and worked for I present to you freely, as a pure gift. You feel awed by the ease with which I operate in the world, and you glimpse My Power and My Glory.
Do not fear your weakness, for it is the stage by which My Power and Glory perform most brilliantly. As you persevere along the path I have prepared for you, depending on My Strength to sustain you, expect to see miracles—and you will. Miracles are not always visible to the naked eye, but those who live by faith can see them clearly. Living by faith, rather than sight, enables you to see My Glory. Psalm 63:2, Corinthians 5:7; John 11:40

God knows the plans He has for you. Be encouraged. Be courageous. Be the YOU He created you to be.
