Things Aren’t Always as they Seem

I’m a pretty fast runner.

I help lead an art school. But not just any art school– we have our eyes on God and as we learn new skills we are focused on missions. What does art in missions look like?

We recently got to go on a trip to an optical illusion art museum in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We had so much fun admiring stunning paints, elaborate optical illusions and making photos that I absolutely needed to share the joy with you.

I felt reminded while we were at the museum that things aren’t always as they seem. Not just with art and optical illusions but as we go out each Friday night to share God’s love through art work I’m reminded that often we must walk by faith and not by sight. I’m praying for you (yes YOU!) that God would confirm the answers to the questions you have in your heart and show you what you need to see.

Taking time out to surf– notice my skill level and how dry I am.

Di d you know that I was so strong? I’m on the bottom in the back! I love these awesome students!

Bright skies under my special umbrella!

No biggie– just a magic carpet ride.

Me and Rachel– we’re leading the Visual Arts for Missions school together.
