Our Paper Airplane

Kia Ora and Welcome!

Our Paper Airplane is a place where we can communicate with you about our lives and the work God has called us to overseas. We are so grateful to have you in our lives and for journeying along with us.

Who are we?

Part of YWAM

Although we work in slightly different fields of missions, both of us are apart of an organization called Youth with a Mission. YWAM is an inter-denominational, non-profit Christian, missionary organization. Founded by Loren Cunningham and his wife Darlene Cunningham in 1960, YWAM’s stated purpose is to “know God and to make Him known”.

We come from all Over

Where do we come from? All over! Carla was born and raised in the United States, Keegan was born in South Africa, and grew up in New Zealand. We met, got married, and have had one lovely little girl here in Thailand!

WE LEAD A RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
MINISTRY AND ENCOURAGE THE DOWNHEARTED

Although we are geographically located in Thailand, both of us serve in internationally supportive roles, as leaders of Create Labs, and Carla as a clinical counsellor. Both ministries serve teams and individuals working amongst the unengaged and unreached people groups throughout the world. Create Labs was created in early 2021 to focus on support, research, and development work within the greater Create International ministry, and the various partners they work with.

A Family of artists

We are missionaries and artists. God has called us to seek the lost, creating for His glory, while extending His Kingdom. But, although God has called us to serve him, he also calls you! As Andrew Fuller said “I Will Go Down If You Will Hold the Rope!” Would you think about “holding the rope” for us and supporting us while we serve overseas?

A Heart for the Unreached

It is estimated that of the 8billion people alive in the world today, 3.4 billion of them live in “unreached people groups” with little or no access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are approximately 17,446 unique people groups in the world with 7,391 of them considered unreached (over 42% of the world’s population)! The vast majority (85%) of these least reached groups exist in the 10/40 window and less than 3% of missionary work is done among these people.
